services / resume

Here’s a sample of services that I offer, in a ‘visual’ format. These are pretty experimental so please bear with me as I refine these further.

I started this challenge with the BPMN Resume, when challenged by a colleague. Happily, I won. Here’s version 1.0 of my BPMN Resume.

I am constantly looking at ways to improve data interpretation and visualisation with a particular focus on the written word, process and non-numerical data sets. This is essentially my playground where I can attempt to visualise everyday data sets, objects and/or processes.

I use limited tools:

  • Many eyes (online visualisation tool)
  • Numbers (or any other spreadsheet program)
  • Data graphing/ data set software (free only)

I’d suggest that you head over to my Many Eyes profile (link opens in a new browser window) if you would like the full interactive experience.

Here’s an example ‘wordle’ service catalogue — note that font size increases based on the level of experience I entered (1-5; 1 = limited through to 5 = expert):

Next is a copy of a treemap visualisation of the same services. This gives a bit of added flexibility as we can now represent all my original data which includes:

  • the service or skill
  • level of experience (1-5; 1 = limited through to 5 = expert)
  • years of experience

The treemap presented below uses all three sets of data (service/ skill; level of experience (differentiated by colour); years of experience (differentiated by object size)):

More to follow, I promise.
